Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is TechneLabs Kamil Jamróz, ul. Adama Ciołkosza 39, 30-443 Kraków, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 6793301810, REGON 528925485 ("TechneLabs", "we" or "us").
For anything related to your personal data, write to technelabs@protonmail.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one in our case.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how we process data on www.techne-labs.com, including the mobile app calculator, and in our correspondence with you. Clients, business partners and their staff will also find information in our GDPR information notice.
What data we process
- Data from the messages you send us: your email address and whatever else you choose to share, such as your name, company name, phone number and project description.
- Technical data automatically recorded in server logs: IP address, date and time of the visit, the address of the page visited, and information about your browser and operating system.
- Settings stored in your browser: the language version and the colour theme you chose.
The mobile app calculator runs entirely in your browser. The options you pick in it don't reach us unless you send a message that contains them. Its contact button only prepares such a message in your email app.
Purposes, legal bases and retention
| Purpose | Legal basis | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to your message, discussing a project and preparing an estimate | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken before entering into a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in handling correspondence) | Up to 12 months after the last message, unless we start working together |
| Concluding and performing a contract | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR | For the duration of the contract |
| Invoicing, tax and accounting obligations | Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR | 5 years from the end of the year in which the tax payment deadline passed |
| Establishing, pursuing or defending legal claims | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR | Until the claims become time-barred |
| Security and proper operation of the site (server logs) | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR | For the log retention period set at our hosting provider |
Who receives your data
We don't sell your data or share it for marketing purposes. It may be received by:
- Vercel Inc.: website hosting and server logs,
- Proton AG: the email service we use for correspondence,
- our accounting office and invoicing tool providers: data needed for billing,
- law firms, where needed to protect our rights,
- public authorities, when they request data on a legal basis.
Service providers process data only on our instructions, under data processing agreements.
Transfers outside the EEA
Proton AG is based in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection. Vercel Inc. is based in the United States; data is transferred there under the Commission's decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or under standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission. You can get information about these safeguards and a copy of them by writing to technelabs@protonmail.com.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it,
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected,
- have your data erased when there is no longer a basis for processing it,
- restrict processing,
- port the data you provided to us, where we process it on the basis of a contract or consent,
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest,
- lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland, uodo.gov.pl) or with the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
To exercise these rights, write to technelabs@protonmail.com. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest.
Do you have to provide data
Providing data is voluntary. Without an email address, however, we can't reply to your message, and without invoicing details we can't enter into a contract.
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we don't profile you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we process data, we will update this document and the date it takes effect. Previous versions are available on request.
