Terms of service

The rules for using the site and the mobile app calculator. In short: it's free to use, and calculator results are indicative.

Effective September 30, 20263 min read

This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Polish version, the Polish version prevails.

General provisions

These terms set out the rules for using the website www.techne-labs.com (the "Site"), including the types and scope of services provided by electronic means, in accordance with the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on Providing Services by Electronic Means.

The Site is run by TechneLabs Kamil Jamróz, ul. Adama Ciołkosza 39, 30-443 Kraków, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 6793301810, REGON 528925485 (the "Provider"). Contact: technelabs@protonmail.com.

Using the Site is free of charge and doesn't require an account.

Services on the Site

The Provider offers, free of charge:

  • browsing the Site's content, including information about the studio and its services,
  • the mobile app calculator, which shows an indicative budget and timeline based on the options you select,
  • preparing an email to the Provider, including the scope selected in the calculator.

The agreement for these services is concluded when you open the Site and ends when you leave it. You send emails from your own email app, and whether you send them is entirely up to you.

Technical requirements

To use the Site, you need a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, with JavaScript enabled. To send a message, you need an email address and an email app.

Using the internet carries common risks, such as malware and phishing attempts. Keep your browser and system up to date, and don't open suspicious links or attachments.

Calculator results

The calculator shows an estimate based on a simplified model and indicative rates. Amounts are given in Polish zloty, net of VAT.

A calculator result is not an offer within the meaning of Article 66 of the Polish Civil Code, nor a binding quote. We agree the scope, price and schedule of each project individually, usually after the discovery stage, and set them out in a contract.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you may not provide unlawful content or take actions that could disrupt its operation, such as attempts at unauthorised access, circumventing security measures, or large-scale automated downloading of content.

Liability

We work to keep the content up to date and the Site running without interruption, but technical breaks and errors can happen. We are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of calculator results or general information on the Site.

These limitations don't apply to damage caused intentionally, or where the law doesn't allow liability to be limited, in particular towards consumers.

Complaints

Send complaints about the Site to technelabs@protonmail.com. Describe the problem and tell us where to reply.

We will handle your complaint within 14 days of receiving it and reply by email.

If you are a consumer, you can use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, for example with the help of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman in Poland. More information is available at uokik.gov.pl.

Project work

These terms cover the use of the Site. We carry out projects under individual contracts that set out the scope of work, fees, deadlines, transfer of copyright and confidentiality.

Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy and the GDPR information notice, both available on the Site.

Final provisions

These terms are available free of charge on the Site in a form that lets you download, save and print them.

We may change these terms for important reasons, such as changes in the law or in the scope of our services. The new version applies from the day it is published on the Site, to use of the Site from that moment on.

Polish law applies to matters not covered here. If you are a consumer, this choice of law doesn't deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
